Re: For our foreign visitors
Michel and all members,
I do not think an English-language version of this Forum is really necessary.
What would be wonderful would be an English version of the Blog - the "translate" button really does not produce anything meaningful ! But that's a lot of work.
Before that, I would propose a couple of things:
- a section in this Forum to be able to discuss the Blog (and the YouTube's)
- on the Blog, some sort of index of links which allows the material to be followed logically (I'm old-fashioned, tags do not work well for me )
- on the Blog (or here) a similar index for the YouTube's.
[Since writing this I have found the links under
Sommaire.
- par ordre alphabétique
- par libellés
They are a great help. ]
This is such a fantastic effort with so much good material it deserves a wider audience.
It seems to me that it is a great site for Students, either in official courses or via self-study.
And PS, the file Pannes_Rembarrement.pdf is over 60 Mbytes long. This makes download and printing difficult.
- can you reduce its size, Michel ?
Another "index-issue", I cannot get the Month to expand in Archives du blog . . .
Greetings,
Rob

Re: For our foreign visitors
Hi Rob,
thank you very much for your compliments and suggestions !
I'm working on an English version of the blog but I still have problems with the language. I'm not familiar with the vocabulary and I can not be as fluid in my comments as in the French versions. I want to try an other way to do this: videos with texts.
An english section on this blog was already in my mind: that will be done very soon !
My blog is organized in three parts: "débutants" (meaning Beginners), the biggest part up to now.
The second part is for "intermédiaire" (meaning Intermediate)
and the last one "avancé" is for Advanced carpenters.
No indication means Beginners.
I will consider an index with a sort by level (for the Blog and the YouTube's channel)
I just modified the "Archives" widget, let me know if the result is what you expected.
I didn't noticed that the Pannes_Rembarrement.pdf was so big.
I'll see if I can lighten it.
Thanks for your hlep,
Greetings
Michel
